Kean University to Offer Reading and Math Clinic for Grammar School Students
Kean University’s Reading and Math Clinic will offer summer tutorial programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from June 29 through August 5. Open to students in grades kindergarten through 8, the program will evaluate the strengths and areas of developmental opportunities of each participant by administering reading and math tests. Remediation will be based on the assessment. Taught by certified teachers, the clinic includes specialized instruction and computer-based reading and math activities that reinforce each lesson.
The reading program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, and the math program will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Fees for the six-week programs are $600 for reading and $400 for math; discounts are available for those who register for both programs. Registration and deposits are required by Thursday, June 24. For further information or to register, please call Dr. Davida Schuman, clinic director, at 908-737-3934.
